Bob, a native of North Carolina, graduated at UNC Chapel Hill in 1970 and joined his family's construction and real estate business. His career path has led him from the family business to managing a 5 office real estate firm in Raleigh, NC to marketing management of a national electrical products manufacturer to a management role in the National Association of Home Builders 'SMART HOUSE' Project. These relocation years for the Hill household gave Bob and wife Jo Ann a greater appreciation for the role a Realtor plays in making life manageable for the family on the move. So they decided in 1996 to take all their experiences and apply them to their own real estate business again, but this time on the Shores of Lake Hartwell. Later, the successes and experience gained on Lake Hartwell led to relocating their corporate office in 2002 to South Carolina which is now located in Seneca on the Shores of Lake Keowee.
While in Georgia with Bob's first office location he served in various capacities on the Habersham, White and Stephens County Board including President in 1998 and 1999. Bob was also selected as "Realtor of the Year" in 1998. Currently Bob is serving as a Chairman of the Western Upstate Association of Realtors. Additionally, Bob has served in the Toccoa Downtown Development Authority, Toccoa Chamber of Commerce, Seneca Chamber of Commerce and as President of the Newcomers Club of the Foothills.....an organization founded in 1972 for the purposes of welcoming new residents to the area promoting friendship, and acquainting members with the history, culture and civic opportunites of the Foothills area.
In July of 2003 their son Mike joined them and in October 2006 their daughter joined them in keeping with what seems to be a continuing family tradition. Everyone at Bob Hill Realty GMAC Real Estate wants to provide family-style outrageous service to their clients and customers alike. We hope you'll soon become one of the 'family' also.

Jo Ann Hill

Jo Ann, wife of Bob F. Hill, Broker was born in Atlantic City, NJ and raised in Vineland, NJ. Prior to her marriage to Bob Hill, Broker in 1971 she traveled with American Airlines as a Flight Attendant for several years living in Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX and New York City, NY.
After her marriage to Bob she spent the next several years raising her 3 children with Bob and serving as an Administrator in the dental and medical field. In 1998 she joined the staff of Bob Hill Realty GMAC Real Estate as Administrator. Currently, JoAnn works in the dual role of administration and licensed assistant.

Bobbi Curry

Bobbi was born in Indiana, but moved to Georgia at the age of two. She grew up in Atlanta graduating from Georgia State University with a degree in Urban Life. She married her husband Randy shortly after graduation. Bobbi worked for over 20 years in the chemical industry starting as a full-charge bookkeeper and completing her career in outside sales. Most recently she has stayed at home with her daughter, Rachel. Rachel is currently a student at Clemson. Her son Rusty lives with his wife Emily in Columbia where Rusty teaches high school math.
Randy and Bobbi purchased land on Lake Hartwell in 1992 and built a home on this property in 2002. They recently moved into this home from Duluth, Georgia where they lived for twenty-two years. Randy still commutes to Georgia for work, but says lake life is worth the drive.
Bobbi earned her Georgia Real Estate license in 2005 and recieved a South Carolina license in 2006. She is excited to be part of Bob Hill Realty GMAC Real Estate and is ready to help you any way possible. |

Mike is originally a native of North Carolina who moved with his parents during several corporate transfers from NC to SC to MD and then to GA where he graduated high school. He went on to attend Georgia Military College and receive an Associates Degree and then proceeded to obtain his Bachelors Degree in Business from Georgia College & State University.
After graduation he began a career with Makita Power Tools as a Retail Sales Representative managing retail accounts with Home Depot, Lowe's, and Sears in the states of GA, AL, and SC. At Makita he received numerous awards, the most significant being a 2002 recognition award for "Outstanding Performance & Sales" in the Southeast Division.
Mike's early exposure to the real estate environment and perseverance of the moves with the family corporate transfers made it natural to gravitate toward the real estate business. Because of his background and sales experience, he has a knowledge and understanding that can help better serve you, our client-as well as our community.

As an interior designer for over twenty years, Jeanne had the opportunity to work with numerous homeowners - first in Crystal Lake, IL, a Northwest Chicago Suburb, and now in SC. Also, as a result of her husband's career, she was involved in the process of corporate relocation which has helped her understand its stresses and challenges. Retirement brought Jeanne to the Golden Corner which now has lead her to a real estate career that blends and utilizes her years of residential related experiences.
Jeanne enjoys specializing in lake and golf communities, in particular the Keowee Key Development, where she and her husband Duncan reside. As a resident of Keowee Key, she has been involved in golf, the garden club and several community related committees. Jeanne is also an active member of the Anderson Board of Realtors, the Upstate MLS and the SC Association of Realtors.

Marcia West

Marcia West and her husband, Pete, moved to Upstate SC in the summer of 2002 to be closer to family. They formerly resided in the town of Mukwonago, WI, which is the Indian word for "Home of the Bear", so moving to Walhalla made for a compatible lifestyle among the Indian culture of Oconee County. Marcia and her husband thoroughly enjoy Upstate SC and the Lake Keowee/ Lake Hartwell areas, where over the past few years, they have made many new friends and take full advantage of the lower cost of living. They chose this area for the spectacular scenery and convenient location between Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC.
As a retired Travel Agent of 30 years, Marcia has a knack for listening well and responding to her client's needs. Barbara Brackett

Barbara was born and educated in Johannesburg, South Africa. After graduating from Damelin College she went to England and joined Holiday on Ice in London, following her lifelong love of ice skating. While touring with Holiday she met and married her husband Dewey in London. Together they traveled the world, living in Europe for 4 years, and 25 years in Asia--Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, and the Republic of the Philippines. They have three children who now all live in South Carolina. Barbara has worked in the book publishing industry for the past 20 years, in Japan, Vermont, and NYC. Dewey, after retiring from government service, worked as a foreigh correspondent for UPI, Knight Ridder Financial News Service, and Pacific Stars and Stripes.
In 1995 Barbara and Dewey returned to Dewey's roots in South Carolina and settled on the shores of beautiful Lake Keowee. Barbara is very happy to be working in the beautiful Carolina upstate region and looks forward to continuing the Bob Hill tradition of professional service to clients and customers.

Mary Lee Bolen

Mary Lee, a native of Greer, SC, graduated from Columbia College in Elementary Education. Her first career began by teaching first grade in Spartanburg, SC for seven years. Then her husband's career took them to Raleigh, NC where she started her second career as a stay-at-home Mom with their two daughters for five years. She then started yet another and third career in sales of custom printing office products and promotional items for the next twenty years. Then another opportunity came along for Mary Lee and her family to move back to SC.
Being avid Clemson fans, they were happy to relocate to the shores of Lake Keowee in November 2004 where Mary Lee's husband George is now a successful homebuilder in this area. Therefore Mary Lee's desire to continue in sales fits well with real estate as a way to help others achieve their dreams.

Sharalyn Kluke, ABR

Sharalyn grew up in the rural area of Pontiac County in Quebec, Canada. She received a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in English at the University of Ottawa. Later, Sharalyn earned a Bachelor of Education from Brock University in St. Catharine's Ontario. She taught both High School and Elementary School for four years. Hired by the Visiting International Faculty Program out of Chapel Hill, NC, Sharalyn moved to Monroe, GA to teach first grade for three years. During her temporary stay in Monroe, she met her future husband Jason Smith, a native of Oconee County and owner of a landscaping business. They married in May of 2005.
When Sharalyn moved to Oconee County, she decided to try a new career and studied real estate at the Wyatt Institute in Greenville, SC. She came to work for Bob Hill Realty GMAC Real Estate, Inc in September of 2005 and she is having a blast meeting new people and helping them in their search for the perfect home in this scenic area. Sharalyn and Jason live in Westminster and are working hard to develop their new careers in Real Estate and Landscaping, respectively.

Gretchen Griffin

Gretchen, the youngest of twelve children, joined us from Washington, DC, after a 25 year "stop over" in Minneapolis, MN, where she and Jim, her husband of 42 years, raised three children. During those years, while Jim flew Internation routes as a Northwest Airline pilot, she managed to fit in a degree from Metropolitan University with an emphasis on Law and Intervention, and a Master's Degree in Mediation from St. Mary's University. She worked as a Paralegal in Family Law for 17 years, began work as a Court appointed Child Advocate, and subsequently established her own Divorce Mediation Service.
According to Gretchen, she arrived in South Carolina ten years ago, "after the Minnesota winters blew us South" and built a home in Keowee Key. Gretchen has worked extensively on the Keowee Key Architectural Committee; served as an Arbitrator in the Oconee County Juvenile System; learned the intricacies of Quilting and Interior Design; and has become the primary costume designer for Pirates and Fairy Princesses - also known as "GRANDCHILDREN"!

Donna grew up in the Northern Virginia area and had only moved once when she married her husband, Trey. Over the next 30 years his career in sales and marketing found them moving 10 times to 7 different states (VA, IN, NY, PA, CA, GA, SC), finally ending up on Lake Keowee after living for 3 years in a log home on Lake Hartwell. During these years of relocating she learned a lot about what it takes to buy/sell/build houses and make a smooth transition to a new area!!
Donna has an extensive background in business and technology. She is also committed to helping others, as evidenced by her work with Oconee Habitat for Humanity, where she has been a volunteer board member and Family Selection Committee Member since 2002.

John is a native South Carolinian from North Augusta, SC. Upon graduation from the University of South Carolina in 1976, John began work in the apparel industry, spending much of his time in Central America (Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador). Most recently, he served as a Manufacturing Consultant in Mexico and Egypt.
He has resided in Oconee County for 30 years. During that time he has been active in the community, having served as President of the Walhalla Sertoma Club, and a past recipient of "Sertoman of the Year Award" for outstanding community service. As Vice President of the Walhalla Chamber of Commerce, he was active in the development and growth of the Walhalla Octoberfest.

Heather Meleca

Heather is originally of North Carolina and the daughter of Bob and JoAnn Hill. She has moved with her family during their corporate transfers from North Carolina to South Carolina and then to Annapolis, Maryland where she graduated from Annapolis High School and attended Anne Arundel Community College with a major in Business Management. In 1998 Heather and her newly wed husband Frank moved to Toccoa, Georgia where they bought and restored a historical building in the downtown area converting it to a spa/salon and maintained that business for the next six years. Heather has also worked in the local high school system as a Mentor Coordinator and Partners in Education Director. As well as being a foster parent, she had also served as secretary for the Stephens County Georgia Foster Parent Association and as head of the retail sector for Stephens County Chamber of Commerce.
Heather and Frank sold their business in 2004 and moved to Seneca where they and their four sons now call home. Combining all these work and life experiences led Heather to pursue a career in real estate.......in keeping with what appears to be a family tradition at Bob Hill Realty GMAC Real Estate.
